Help Local Wildlife this Giving Tuesday
When you donate to New Mexico Wildlife Center this Giving Tuesday, you are ensuring a future for New Mexico’s wildlife. Your donation will go directly towards food, medical care, and rehabilitation supplies for wild animals in our wildlife hospital, as well as our education programs that provide wildlife education to under-served communities.
This Giving Tuesday, all donations will be doubled up to $10,000 thanks to a matching donation from NMWC’s Board! We challenge you to help us meet this goal by giving whatever you can. Every little bit counts and helps us reach our goal of $10,000!
Help us connect people and wildlife for an abundant tomorrow by donating on Giving Tuesday, November 30.

Ways to Support NMWC this Giving Tuesday
Support our Wildlife Hospital
Our Wildlife Hospital admits around 1,000 wild animals each year, and provides them with the highest standard of medical care with the goal of release back to the wild. Our wildlife rehabilitators and veterinarian work seven days a week, 365 days a year to ensure the success of these animals. Your donations will go directly to support our efforts in the wildlife hospital and to help local wildlife.
Support our Education Programs
NMWC reaches up to 7,000 people per year through education programs and on-site visitors. Our 37 Ambassador Animals help us reach these audiences through dynamic, hands-on wildlife demonstrations and curriculum-based education programs. Your donations will go directly to caring for these Ambassador Animals, to educational materials and supplies, and to our educators’ salaries to ensure we can provide accessible STEM education to underserved communities.
Donate Supplies
Would you believe we go through hundreds of paper towel rolls a year? We won’t even tell you about the amount of tissues, bleach, and laundry detergent! One way you can help us operate is by picking up these items for us during your normal shopping trip! You can also visit our Amazon Wish List for other items that are needed to keep our wildlife hospital functioning!
Adopt-an-Animal
Have you fallen in love with Juniper the Gray Fox? Have a child in your life who is obsessed with owls? Consider symbolically adopting one of our Ambassador Animals! This donation will go directly towards caring for the Ambassador Animal of your choosing. In return, you will receive a 5″x7″ color photograph of the animal, a fact sheet about the animal, and a certificate of adoption! The “adoptive parent” also receives one free visit to NMWC to see their adopted animal!
Volunteer
Unable to financially support us this year? Volunteering is one way to help NMWC on a week-to-week basis! Whether it be through caring for our Ambassador Animals, helping our rehabilitators keep the hospital functioning, or transporting injured wildlife to us from all over the state, our volunteers are essential. We rely on over 100 volunteers to operate and spread our mission, and you can join that effort!
Legacy Giving
As someone who cares about wildlife, you can play an integral role in helping us leave a wildlife legacy for future generations. There are many ways to include NMWC in your estate planning, beginning with a will. You could also consider life insurance policies, and IRAs or other retirement accounts. Through wise estate planning, you may be able to receive significant tax and income benefits during your lifetime, through remainder trusts and gift annuities. All of these gifts will greatly benefit wildlife in the future.
