Can an owl turn its head all the way around? Do owls only hunt at night? Find the answers to these questions and more as we discuss the owls of New Mexico. We will cover the natural history of owls, what common species can be found around Santa Fe County, and the connections humans have with owls throughout history. Become an ‘owl-ficianado’ of these nocturnal hunters, and even meet a live Animal Ambassador up close!
This is the seventh program in our Saturday Speaker Series this year and will be led by NMWC Education Animal Curator, Shawna Protze. The program is FREE and admission to the New Mexico Wildlife Center is FREE between 11 am and 1 pm on Saturdays during the month of March!
