Education and Outreach at NMWC
New Mexico Wildlife Center offers many different ways to learn about and experience nature and wildlife.
Wildlife Education programs are our most popular programs for classrooms and other groups. Audiences meet some of our Ambassador Animals up close and learn about many different topics either at the Center, or offsite in the classroom or other venue. We also offer all of our education programs virtually via your choice of virtual communication!
Caring Kids is a program for students in fourth grade. Through a partnership with the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society, educators from NMWC and SFASHS visit with students four separate times to discuss Responsibility, Empathy, Safety, and Awareness of the Environment through students’ interest in animals.
We also offer programs for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and love to work with Eagle Scout and Gold Award candidates.
