CANCELED – Due to the recommendations of the New Mexico Department of Health. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope our community takes precautions to stay safe and healthy during this time!
The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon in North American, and one of the brightest colored raptors in the world. They are also the most widespread falcon species found in many different habitats across the United States, and yet many people do not know they live their neighborhood. However, we are losing these amazing birds across the country and there is not a clear answer as to why. Meet with our resident American Kestrel, Pancho, and the very talon-ted Educational Animal Curator, Shawna Protze, to learn more about these incredible falcons and what we can do to help them.
This is the ninth program in our Saturday Speaker Series this year. The program is FREE and admission to the New Mexico Wildlife Center is FREE between 11 am and 1 pm on Saturdays during the month of March!
